Delivery

Please note all pallet deliveries are made using an outside pallet courier service.

Deliveries are roadside, pallets or crates are taken off the delivery vehicle using a tail lift and manual pump truck/trolley. The price paid covers a curb side delivery only. However if a level, hard standing area i.e. tarmac/block paving/driveway is accessible then it may be possible that the delivery can be unloaded onto this area, but this is at the drivers discretion which you will automatically indemnify against should damage be caused to the property, metalled surface or underground drainage.

The pallet pump truck cannot operate on grass, gravel, mud, steep inclines and uneven surfaces, thus you must make other arrangements to move the goods from the curb side into the curtilage of your property/ delivery address.

The delivery driver will not open pallets and crates nor carry the goods by hand. Where you have no off road access it is advisable to arrange labour to open the pallets or crates and move your building materials off the path or road.

Many deliveries are made by large articulated vehicles. Please be sure to discuss with us any possible restrictions. ie overhead trees, overhead cables, road weight limits, narrow lanes, city access and working hours/ permits.

We can quote for other methods of delivery such as a mechanical crane lorry, forklift or offloaded by hand.

On the day of delivery please ensure that there is someone at the property all day to accept the delivery and that you have reserved space for the delivery vehicle. If you do not have adequate space off of the road It is advisable to park your cars on the road which can be moved when the delivery vehicle arrives reserving/ providing a space for the delivery vehicle to park in order to off load your goods.

The driver requires a signature before he offloads the goods for security reasons.

Our congested roads make it impossible to promise an exact delivery time, under no circumstance will we be liable or compensate for a delivery having to be made on a following day.

We can notify “dedicated vehicle” deliveries to you, your builder or landscaper as your consignment leaves our premises.

Contact details provided by you will be on delivery consignment notes for the driver. We always request that drivers call enroute but this is not a guarantee and they will not accept liability for consequential losses associated with a delayed delivery.

If the driver is unable to deliver because of an access issue, because there is nowhere suitable to offload or because there is no one on site to sign for the goods, there will be a redelivery fee for rearranging the delivery for another day.

Prior to placing an order please call us to discuss your delivery requirements, we can hopefully prevent any unexpected and unnecessary problems occurring.
